The Artissmo 428 is a beautiful wash brush in the tradition of the French Squirrel Mop style. The pure Kolinsky red sable hair is bound in a synthetic quill and has a clear lacquered handle that shows off the light wood grain finish. The large belly of the brush retains large quantities of water making it perfect for laying in washes of colour. The sable hair points beautifully so that even after a flooding wash you can draw up to a fine detail giving you a wider variety of expressive mark making. Brushes are handmade in Germany at the da Vinci family owned factory since 1890.
